Jams & Smaller Projects
Dungeon Daycare - March 2025
Brussels game jam 2025, I proposed a game about taking care of a child in a dungeon. I got joined by a very nice game designer and after working on it for a while it slowly morphed into its current state. The gore was mostly added as a joke to show my teammate but all the people thought it was so funny it ended up becoming a mainstay. As it is especially fitting in the old school gritty dungeon crawler style the project has.
At the jam it got awarded as Most Fun. out of 10

Bubble Rythm Wrap Sweeper - January 2025
Minesweeper rythm game made at global game jam Antwerp 2025. I arrived late and the organizer basically put me together with somebody. I did basically the unity / implementation work. I am really proud of how the effects turned out. Though making a rythm game is even more difficult than other people have told me.

Mochi Knight - November 2024
Another weekend jam, mainly focused on making a small story / quests. This was a solo project i took over from somebody else and was just an adrenaline filled weekend for me. I got a simple combat / quest system done, tweaked my procedural animations further and more. I'm quite pleased with the result and think it's about as well as a solo 48 hr jam can go as I had both time left over at the end and other people that really enjoyed playing it.
At the jam it got awarded for Best Mood (1st), Most Fun (2nd), Best Visuals (2nd) and Best Concept (3rd). out of 5

Spiggly - July 2024
Game heavily inspired by Bad North, made mostly as an excuse to mess with various technologies like navmesh agents and procedural animations. Made a lot of scripts that I still use in my projects and though the game is fairly barebones it does still appeal to me. I also found out the limits of WebGL through it.

Deicide - May 2024
Another weekend jam with friends, this time at Kortrijk's street jam.
I contributed by being the main coder and did a lot of juice, AI programming and most of the base programming framework. I also implemented and made a lot of animations using the spritesheets from the artists and the unity animation system.
Not much of interest was learned, it went along decently smooth.
TEAM OF 4
Hyper Speed Dating - February 2024
A 3 day jam at my school with fierce competition, we made a fast paced, polished dating game.
I was primarily involved as an artist and designer, being responsible for the shaders used in the game as well as the background environment. I also pitched the original concept to the group and wrote a lot of the dialog. The entire group did an incredible job and was very focused. I especially commend the artists in making such appealling characters without which the game definitely wouldn't be the same.
At the jam it got awarded 2nd in the jury vote out of 38

Ragdoll Raccoons - January 2024
48 hour game jam made at global game jam Antwerp together with an animator I know and another person we met at the jam. I was the developer and helped pitch the idea. I used an active ragdoll controller from a previous project as a base and all the rest was made during the jam itself.
The main struggle in this jam was speed as being the only dev I had a lot to do in between implementation of the artists' work and getting all the features done.
TEAM OF 3
Caffeïne Overdrive - August 2023
Game jam game made for fun with a couple people from my then school, made in about a week with 5 people though we were unexperienced and wasted a decent amount of time before starting properly.
I mainly did the coding but helped out wherever I could (VFX etc).
In this jam I experimented a lot with visual effects which is very evident in the final game.
TEAM OF 6
Jungle Explorer - February 2023
Game jam game made in a week with the lovely Willem Hollants
Simple puzzle games with tiles and maps, both of our first time using unity (in creating an actual game project)
He did art, I did code and we both shared in doing the design.
During this I mostly experimented with unity in general as i was new to the engine.
TEAM OF 2
Spaghetti Sixshooter - August 2021
First game project I ever made, mostly included for emotional value. A 24 hour jam where I went in solo and ended up winning in the jam. I had not a lot of game development experience but greatly enjoyed it and (highly likely due to unfierce competition) managed to get a big win out of it.
At the jam it got awarded for Best Overall (1st), Creativity (1st), Follows Theme (1st) and Most Fun (2nd). out of 8
